ThermoWood^® ayous, fire retardant treated

ThermoWood^® ayous, a durable, thermally modified wood without knots and with a warm, natural appearance, was chosen for the cladding. Ayous comes from sustainably managed forests.

To meet the strict fire safety regulations for schools, ThermoWood^® ayous was fire retardant treated to the required reaction to fire class by Lemahieu Fire Protection^®. The fire retardant, Burnblock^® is 100% natural and pressure-impregnated into the ThermoWood^®.

In this way, the project combines an aesthetically and environmentally friendly facade with maximum fire safety - ideal for a future-oriented learning environment.
