At LDCwood, we are proud to see our ThermoWood® Fraké featured prominently in the new sustainable office buildings of Unilin Panels in Wielsbeke.

Designed as a living showcase of Unilin’s materials and core values, the new offices are a testament to circularity, innovation, and biophilic design. And at the heart of its exterior? Our responsibly sourced, thermally modified Fraké – chosen for its warm, natural aesthetic and proven durability.

More than visual appeal

ThermoWood® Fraké offers long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance, aligning perfectly with Unilin’s sustainability strategy. The facade material had to meet the project’s high standards in design and ecological responsibility. ThermoWood® Fraké was the ideal choice: dimensionally stable, OLB-certified, and thermally modified without chemicals – a true fit for a circular construction approach.

Natural design with a purpose

Unilin’s headquarters is more than just an office – it’s a workplace designed for wellbeing. By integrating biophilic design principles, the building connects people with nature through light, greenery, and natural materials. LDCwood® ThermoWood® Fraké cladding plays a key role in this vision, offering a tactile, warm feel that welcomes both employees and visitors alike.
