LDC 2.0

The Belgian producer LDCwood^® is investing in three new production kilns for the thermal modification of ThermoWood^®. That brings the total to six.

In Ostend, LDCwood^® already has three kilns in use for the thermal modification of wood. For example ayous/abachi, fraké, ash, pine/spruce and poplar. At the end of 2021, the company will add three production kilns. With their arrival, LDCwood^® will expand its production capacity to more than 16,000 cubic meters.

LDCwood^® is a joint venture of the Belgian timber companies Lemahieu Group and Decolvenaere. Thermally modified wood, ThermoWood^® – available in various profiles – is suitable for applications such as facade cladding and terraces. The product has sustainability certificates from FSC® and PEFC, and the OLB legality mark.
